That is an LTD-III I assume? I’ve always wanted a BWB pickguard for my -II.
It is a III , I have always liked black pickguards more than pearloide so now I am happy
Yes pickguard planet has the template for the LTD III Yamaha Bass Pickguards & Pickguards For Other Guitar Models | Pickguard Planet. It would be pretty simple to modify a LTD III pg for a LTD II, you just have to cut the larger opening for the neck pickup and since it's a rectangle it should be pretty easy. Plus you have the OEM pg to trace the pickup opening.
You should be able to remove the pickup, put some foam underneath it and screw it back down to the height you want.
That looks awesome with the black pickguard, I'm never a fan of white pearloid or antique white pearloid guards.
Anybody gotten any additional feedback about the new Dimarzio Relentless (Sheehan) split P pickup?
They show tone numbers of 8.5 Bass / 8.0 Mid / 5.0 Treble.
The Output number says (180 Output) so they are a little hotter than the Dimarzio Model P at (163 Output) but not as hot as their Split P DP127 (250 Output).
There are reviews and at least one video on the Facebook yamaha attitude group.

Hi all. Pretty soon I'll be an attitude owner myself, just waiting for the Guitar Center police hold to pass. I bought a used Attitude Plus bass, the one with the single P pickup from around the 90s I believe. This is a picture from the previous owner who I actually talked to before he sold it to GC. If you don't know, these models had dots inlays rather than the typical Attitude Limited inlays. As you can see, this one was modified (most likely with sharpie) and the previous owner actually scalloped the last couple frets like an Attitude Limited. I will be adding vinyl sticker inlays as the drawn in ones are already wearing from the strings but I like the look. The bass sounds great and I got it for $250, albeit it probably a bit over priced. My dilemma is this: given the modifications and low value, should I fully mod it with a neck pickup and dual output like an Attitude Limited or save my money for a real one? The upside to modding this bass would be slight customizations that I would prefer. My thoughts would be to put a Relentless Neck pickup in the neck and perhaps leave the middle p pup unless I really felt I needed to swap it out for the relentless middle. My next debate then comes to the electronics configuration. I'm not sure if Dimarzio pups come with the pots as well (my brother's guitar pups didn't) and if not I would want to replace the traditional push/pull pot functionality with switches and to keep the p pup tone. I would put two new pots on the pickguard like the Attitude limited and leave the other two as well as the input jack and add a second input jack next to it. I don't have the tools nor skills to do this modification myself but I have a luthier I trust. It definitely would be a couple hundred for sure, but compared to the $3k that the Attitude Limited costs that wouldn't be much. A modded attitude plus would be geared more to my tastes, but the production Attitude Limited might be a better instrument at the end of the day. What would you guys suggest? I'll include a sketch of what the bass might look like after the mods. Thanks!

They come up in the TB classifieds for a lot less than 3K, and if that's what you really want I'd opt to put the money you were going to use for mods towards a LTD.

There is a black Attitude LTD III for sale on Guitar Center's website currently, they turn up there about once a month.
