yamaha blue jeans bass!

I pulled these out of the "show your bass" topic, It took me 4 weeks to track down the name alone.

I need all the information on these basses you can give me, prices, where you bought it, whatever, its my dream to own one of these basses by the middle of next year, ebay, music123, guitar center, -everywhere has proved fruitless.

please help me :crying:

Hey. I can't help you find one of these, but I wanted to point out something I find kind of interesting. I worked at Guitar Center about 6 years ago, and we carried these basses for a short time. They actually sounded great. I nearly bought one myself, but I didn't have the funds, because, well... I worked at Guitar Center....

Anyway, I noticed one day that if you held those Yamahas up face to face with a Rickenbacker bass the bodies are nearly identical, just flipped. Kind of interesting that there's a pic of a Ric off to the side in the pic at the top of this thread.

Oh, by the way, on the topic of actually tracking one of these down, I HAVE seen them pop up occasionally on Ebay. There are the newer, reissue ones, and there are older, vintage ones that surface from time to time. You may want to just watch Ebay for a while.

Good luck!

Matt

How about this one instead?

But I dont understand how much they are, or how to order it from there, cause I cant read japanese.

You know if you ever go to a site you cannot read due to language, go to altavista babelfish. they have a translation service. You can type in the web address and what language you want the site translated to and it will do it for you.
