beautiful trb 1006

i almost bought a trb 1005 at GC a month ago....it is onsale for 500 now, but i just bought a lakland JO 4 string instead as it has completely cured my 4 string gas.

but i think if i dont get a deposit to a luthier for a custom job, i will be buying a trb 1006 within the next few months. i really dig the natural finished ones, and want to get a ramp between the pickups and possibly switch the pups for nordstrand fatstacks....yum.

Well the RBX170 is very similar and I love mine. I don't think I could have done much better for my first bass.

^^^ I love those red quilt finishes on the TRBs. My TRB1005 is natural, and it looks good, but I can't help thinking it would be perfect if it were in that trans red.

Did you get that Joe Osborne at Drome Sound? I was down there this summer and played it. I came so close to buying it, probably one of the best sounding, best playing basses I have tried. Congrats!

OK, i can now qualify as a member of the club after receiving my TRB-6 today! *yohooo*

It's a Japanese-built one, with the tall and narrow pickups, not the later "soapbar" models. I'll get some photos up later on, just have to give it some tender loving care, first!

I feel like I'm going down memory lane today! This is a BB2000 just like one I had around 1987 that is currently on ebay. That buy it now price is a bit too high, but it sure is in great shape.

It's a little boring finishwise, but it's a dead solid instrument and I'll hang on to it. Equipped it with a synth pickup, too.

My SBV landed and I decided to pimp out my pickguard These are awesome basses, well worth the trouble of importing them from Japan. I got lucky and found a new one on Ebay, here in the states.

I've been wanting one of those for a while and yours is deffinetely not helping the gas

The more I play mine the more I love it. It's got tone to spare. Keep an eye on eBay for them.

That's the one that got me interested in yamaha in the first place. Peter Hook plays one of those! I'm looking around for one of those, so if anyone hears of one...
