I just ordered an RBX170 Old violin sunburst.

I already have an RBX260F (fretless) as my main instrument.
In the near future I also want a RBX4A2 in white.

And have it defretted.
I raved about Yamaha basses and the fact I can order them online about a page ago.
Now I want to get rid of my Fender MIM.
Good bass though. But I'm going exclusivly with Yamaha.
The RBX never let me down, and it was such a cheap instrument.
Hey guys, I have a line on a Yammy BB5000A being sold locally and I was wondering how you folks felt a $400.00 price tag matches with this basses current value?
I have yet to see it in person, but I am considering it very seriously.
Any thoughts from my fellow Yammy users?

I a jealous that over in Eurpore that you can get the RBX in colors that aren't available here.

The only pics I have access to are the one's listed on the on-line board I found it on... and I believe that linking in to that is against the rules... plus, I don't want to potentially create any competition for the bass.
Am I in-correct regarding the rules?

I bought it at Steve's Music Store in Montréal. It is rare there too, it was the only one. It's sad that this model is now discontinued.

The new RBX 170 basses, which I am assuming are the replacements for the 260/270s have an agathis body, instead of alder.
I don't own a Yamaha but I am sure jealous of the thread you guys have going here. Fantastic basses. Did you catch how many views this page has had? Very Cool!
