The new RBX 170 basses, which I am assuming are the replacements for the 260/270s have an agathis body, instead of alder.

and it seems that pickups are not the same.
You are right about the pick ups.
But the main difference between the 100 serie and 200 serie is the material of the wood of the body.
200 serie has alder bodies
100 serie has agathis bodies, cheaper wood
I have a plan to do a body makeover since the theme of the bass doesn't work for me....I bought it for the TONE!!!
All done so they could offer something at a lower price-point. I think on the new 100-series, the bridge position j-bass pickup is actually a stacked humbucker.
What don't you like about the appearance?
Hey guys, I have a line on a Yammy BB5000A being sold locally and I was wondering how you folks felt a $400.00 price tag matches with this basses current value?
I have yet to see it in person, but I am considering it very seriously.
Any thoughts from my fellow Yammy users?

It has skeletons etched into the finish and I am not into taht kind of thing so the bones have to go!!!! check out the video and you will see the etchings....
I bought it with the intentions of reworking the body because the parts are worth more the price I paid...
