I should say too. While it's nice instrument. What I really wanted was one of the original TRB-5s, neckthrough and the like. So in many ways I've never been quite happy with this bass. I've toyed with epoxying the fingerboard and changing the pickups, but cash and time kinda stopped me. I've been playing it again over the last few days (my usual P-Bass is strung funny at the mo) and it really is a nice bass I guess. Lots of sustain except up near the 24th fret (which is normal). There's only one dead note on it. C on the d and g strings. I guess I just need to get over myself again. Afterall, I can play faster on it than anything else I've ever owned.

. It has a huge sound especially after dialing up the piezo. I just can't understand why Yamaha discontinue this model.
