Mine is without piezo. Circa 1994 and I love those thumb wheel mid frequency selector. What was the post size did you use? 1/2" or 3/8" if you remember?

Hi, I've just joined the forum and here's a picture of my TRB6PII. The other 2 basses in the picture are a Yamaha TRB1005 Fretless and an Overwater Progress 3 (7 String). I have since sold both these to pay for my new Warwick Corvette $$ 6 String. The Overwater was very nice, but 7 strings was one too many for me, and I never really got into the fretless either

For your general information, I found out that in the last year TRB5s were made, they had a MSRP of $1,699. TRB6s were $1,999. Adjusted for 2009 dollars, TRB5s would be $2,225.40. A TRB6 would be $2,618.58. Assuming a 30% discount, if the old TRB5's street price would be about $1,557.78 if they were still being made. TRB6s would be $1,833. That means that they would certainly be on par with MIA Fender Jazz Deluxes, Music Man, Skyline or G&L when it comes to price.

Getting these used for under $600 is as good a deal as I know of!

IT was only for the TRB5/6, not the piezo models. I'm sure they cost more money.

The TRB5PII is has a MSRP of $3,999.99. It's street price was $2,499.

Got my MK I TRB5 for about $800 AUD. I thought that was a good buy. They retailed here from memory for around $2500 AUD back in the day.

Is there anybody who tried to replace the stock pup's of a yamaha trb6p with others than bartolinis? I'm asking, because I found out, that Aero can provide for a fitting single coil pickpup. I'm looking for a less "midrangy" and a little smoother sound. Would Aero's be the right choice to meet my expectations?
I already posted a question in the Pickups & Electronic thread but couldn't get a detailed answer.

I think they don't have the dimension I need. The aero's have this dimension ( 5-1/2"L x 0.9375"W) and should fit.
