Having a few of these phoney stacks set up on my side of the stage. But, have them rigged to tip over ever once in awhile.... with roadies running up and readjusting them during the set.
Haven't ready the whole thread (late night and I haven't had my coffee yet) but as long as the guitarist in question can manage his sound levels then this seems pretty cool to me. Full guitar (and bass) stacks look awesome onstage and really set the vibe, and happily he'll always have a backup amp or two.
Seems to me though that if he insists on bringing all three stacks then it's time for you guys to renegotiate who helps with what during load ins/outs.

I know these were fake, but looked great when I saw them. I am a fan of a lot of gear on stage. I've seen guys bring 2 full Marshall stacks into very small rooms. If they can control the volume, why not? It's an impressive look.

If you're talking about the orange thing with the knob on top, that's not a powersoak, it's a variac. It adjust lines voltage going into the amp. It was an old-days Eddie Van Halen trick and a key component to the "Brown Sound"
If I'm not the first to point this out, I apologize. It's just that once these threads get over 100 posts and that happens fast of TB, I think a lot of us simply can't wade through all of them to see if someone already said something.

Lighten up guys. Don't you know that most guys with that many cabinets don't use all of them? At many of the big festivals they use mostly shells with no backs or speakers in them. All of those boxes are there mostly for show. This guy had them stacked three high and I am certain he is not the only one.
By the OP's post, it sounds like he intends to use them.
Do you split the tab evenly? Seems they may be spending more time on his gear.
