Dill/half-sour.
Claussen/deli pickles could sustain me for years.

However, Horseradish bread and butter pickles are ridiculously delicious. If a jar is opened, consider it empty.

Pickles with hot peppers or just pickled peppers(I know...) are another paradigm entirely.

I like both but I suppose I'd take a dill pickle first while I reminisce about the pickle barrels in the small stores where I grew up. Darcy's in Acton California had the best.

I like pickles. I recently got ready to make a jar of refrigerator pickles but someone had eaten the cucumbers. I threw in some red onions, celery and carrots. Came out great. Especially in the Bloody Marys.

Dill pickles are just a Hoax, there's no such thing as a Dill pickle. This whole Dill pickle thing has been blown out of proportion.

Eat a %#*£€# instead and that will save you from the non-existent Dill Pickle.

Voted dill, but I'm really about trying to re-create the NYC-derived pickles of my childhood. Sour, garlicky, and light on the dill. The closest I've come, via Los Angeles retail, are the following half-sours from the Sonoma Brinery, which bring some west-coast fun via some pickled hot pepper in the package...

Dill as a spice is an affront to humanity. Works in a cream based sauce, otherwise best avoided. Sweet pickles is somewhat of a traditional thing here in Sweden (beetroot and especially cucumber and gherkins), and although dill is used a ton in traditional Swedish cuisine - I can't stand it.
