Yet another highly divisive TalkBass poll.

I like pickled everything (carrots, eggs, peppers, sausages, onions, pig's feet, ramps, etc.) EXCEPT cucumbers. That's right, I like pickled stuff, but not pickles. Of the three, however, I voted 'sweet' because I can at least stomach a hot sweet pickle, LOATHE dill pickles, and never vote carrots for any reason. I pickle a lot of my own stuff, homemade pickled stuff is WAY better than store-bought. I've also been trying, mostly unsuccessfully, to pickle and/or fry myself for nigh on 20 years now.

I'll go with the dill but I do love gherkins.

On a side note, we played the Mt. Olive Pickle Festival last year. Due to the pandemic it was canceled this year but we're booked for next year.

Here in the Big Apple you can find just about any kind of pickled anything, from any culture, of any flavor, you desire. The real mavens would never eat a supermarket pickle out of a jar. This is the way you buy them. Right out of the barrel. I love 'em all. I've eaten so many pickles in my life they won't need to embalm me when I die. Come back in a couple hundred years and I'll still look the same.
