If you buy a big jar of high end pickles with spices, garlic, etc... in the liquid, save it after you eat the pickles. Slice a cucumber and drop it in. Refrigerate a few days, and you have pickles again.

my grandmother's Sweet Dill Pickles were one of the best tastes on the planet. They were sliced like sweet and there was dill in the jar too. Addictive. Dill pickle is a must in tuna salad.

This is absolutely true. I have grown dill in my back yard for years and years and not one single plant has ever produced a pickle!

You know how to make pickle bread right? Use dill dough.

I like a couple of tablespoons of Dill pickle juice in some cold water if I'm getting muscle cramps; especially if there's no Gatorade or Gatorade type drinks available.

Yeah, smoked meat and bagels are very much Montreal specialties. There's also the infamous poutine, though it's usually better outside of Montreal, in my opinion - rural Quebec does poutine much better than the big city. There's nothing quite like having a poutine after a night out drinking. My recovery time from such events has dramatically increased now that I'm over 40, though.

The key is to use cheese curds (the kind that goes "squeak" under your teeth), so some of it will retain just a bit of chunkiness as it melts. Shredded cheese poutine is a travesty!
