Here's a more recent pic of this bass. I've since installed Lindy Fralin pickups and a PickGuardian BWB pickguard. When I Citristripped the next, the SX logo came off, so I slapped on a Fender logo. (Let the flaming begin. Don't worry, I'll never sell this bass )

Oooo DANG that thing looks NICE. Looks like a Fender MIM Classic Series 1970's bass, except it cost 1/3 of the Fender! Awesome.

Very informative thread. I think that SX is no more risky than any other bass you buy sight unseen. I could not tell a major difference in your sound clips. They all sounded fine, none of them stuck out to me as being better than the others. Thanks for taking the time to do this!

Awesome looking bass Gassie. I recently put a black body & white pearl pg on my sx ss j and really like the way it looks now.
