u find urself stuck up by ur girlfriend again, listening to 'oceans', insulting her on textmessage, picking up the only thing that will never leave u and play along 'jellikit' waaayyyy tooo loud and have angry neighbours at the door asking u 'what the hell ur doing this late?'

you see "bass contest" in the newspaper and finally think you're important.. and two lines down it says "Ol' Jimmy caught himself one of 'dem big ol fat ass basses right out of newman lake."

you then think "wow, you can catch basses in the water!"

you ask your girlfriend to pop herself on the phone.

you don't stoop down and get an acoustic guitar when you're sick of amps -- you spend extra cash for an acoustic bass.

you pick up a guitar and go insane because it so annoying.

2 out of 3 times i installed windows that icon came up automatically, which actually is pretty unlikely... if it is random

Every single time I've installed Windows I got that icon, actually.

You know you're a bass player when you go to see a band just because of the bass player in it. I.E. Go see the Flecktones just because of Vic, not Bela Fleck. Yes, not really funny, but quite true.

(DB/UB) You know you are a bass player when you get angry if an EB is refered to as a "Normal Bass" and the UB is referred to as an Upright Bass. Also: When doing classical music, is referred to as a "cello."

(EB) You know you're a bass player when the guitarist asks for your opinion of how certain complicated chords are spelt, and sometimes how to play them on a guitar.

(DB/UB) You know you are a bass player when you are the only one in the group that is physically exhasted after a song.

(EB) You know you are a bass player if you look at a million dollar art piece made from carving out of the stump of a really nice wood and you say, "What a waste! That wood and effort could have crafted lots of great basses!"

(EB) ...when you drool over decked out, supped up basses and not cars.
