Another clip from a Jazz Society concert. This one features Jacob Duncan on sax, playing one of his excellent tunes.
Jacob Duncan! I knew him back in my North Texas days! A beautiful cat and a beautiful player!
I bet! 12 years, that’s deepYes, Jacob is a treasure in our scene. I did 12 years of a Wednesday night sax/bass/drums trio gig with him that only stopped because of covid. I grew a LOT on that gig!

A fun tune by my colleague Gabe Evens from a concert last week. As an added bonus, I think I am finally dialing in a decent amplified sound in that hall after many years of trying!
amplified sound is nice. sounds like a difficult hall to sound good in? band sounds great.
Fun with Marais. The viol part is deceptively difficult - marais was a master virtuoso, so it comes with the territory.
Sort of fun that all three instruments are from the same maker as well.
These are fun and very impressive! But I hope you also get to perform some of this stuff live with other musicians in real time. Who is the instrument maker?
