Nice work there D-P. The fretless sounds great and I really like the trippy vocal effect.

Here's one we did for a local college station last year. The bass wasn't taken direct - it's just a live mic on my little ampeg SB12 fliptop. We were playing very quietly - they weren't equipped for a full drum kit or anything. There's a little talk at the top, but the tune gets going fairly soon.

Actually . . . I didn't listen to the link before I posted it . . . it seems that theres some processing on there that isn't on the CD . . . AND . . . that version of the "trailer" is in MONO!

I'm going to check it out :cool: thanks . . .

I just heard it through laptop speakers and they had a leslie-like sound similar to what the Beatles did on few of the Magical Mystery Tour tracks.

Sometimes stereo processing does wierd things when you bring it back to mono - maybe that's it.

They sometimes use spacial processing (in film mixing) to get a W I D E R stereo . . .
that could be what we're hearing here . . .

and yes, it does have that doppler/leslie type sound summed to mono . . . thanks again for letting me know about this . . .

Someone at our last show taped our performance on his camcorder and just posted a clip of us on YouTube



We were short one member on guitar due to illness, so it sounds more empty than it usually does. And it's kind of faster and more raw... And I am almost invisible off to the left... But you can definitely hear me...

My band The Red Limit has a few vids up, with some live footage from our gig at "the world's longest hockey game"... playing outside when it's -35 really isn't fun, but it was a cancer benefit so it was pretty cool. And by the time the heaters got going at least we were able to take off a few sweaters.:p

Doing a little jam along to one of my favorite parts of a Pink Floyd song.
The bass is a discontinued Rogue model with active electronics that I bought from MF for $199.99 a few years a go. I had to play it with a light right-hand touch because I didn't want my camera to pick up any finger or fret noise.
I have since sold it and just recently purchased a Squire Affinity Jazz which I love. I have two other vids using the squire on YT.
The amp is an old Peavey TKO80. Bass straight into amp, no effect boxes. Thanks to anyone who takes the time to watch.

Here's a video I did of my adaptation of 'I Want To Hold Your Hand' with just bass & voice. The bass is my 1979 Rickenbacker 4001SLH strung for right-handed play, tuned standard. I'm playing through an SWR SM-400 head, and 4x12 Hiwatt cab loaded with custom-coned 85 watt Celestions. The delay unit is an old noisy A.R.T.



And now I have to go back to the beginning of this thread and catch up on all y'all's vids!

OK, I DON'T appear in this (or ANY of my videos, by choice) but its my composition and playing, played everything except drums. The bass was a Schecter 5-string Stilletto Custon run direct to disc through a Universal Audio tube pre-amp (can't remember which model though). The song is "It Takes A Village To Raise An Idiot":
