My Xmas present to myself this year was a thyroid cancer removal procedure a few weeks ago, so no toys under the tree for me Christmas morning lol. I do however get my Christmas bonus on Jan 5th, so I intend to have a "Treat Yo Self" moment with a LPB Ventura II Jazz!

The Noble is kinda like last years Xmas present to myself that just showed up this Xmas. I ordered it before Xmas last year and it showed up 10-months later in mid-September. A few weeks ago, after a couple months of trying it out at gigs, I dug out my old Pedaltrain nano to mount the Noble…and then I ordered a mini Peterson tuner and Cali76 compressor to complete my mini-board-of-dOOm. The compressor came in this afternoon and I just got done trying it out. Excited for my gigs this weekend! Merry holidays to me and you!!!

An electric chainsaw. Not a STIHL - Milwaukee 18 inch but good enough to cut enough one cord in one charge -- I got a wood harvest permit good enough for 10 cords but you must be willing to drive through snow - ice covered cliffside/canyon forest roads and no cell service. I like the electric and preserve the tranquility of the forest. Aspen for the win - smells like cucumbers. I got extra batteries for Christmas under the tree.

Thanks! The 10-month wait wasn't so bad. I'm good at mentally putting orders out of my mind, so when it does arrive it's almost like a surprise. I've currently got a second Moollon bass on order and I think I'm coming up on the two year mark in the 3+ year waiting period. Or maybe I'm just coming up in the one year mark. I could go look it up in my correspondence but I'd rather not think about it other than knowing I've got something good in the works.

However, when it's an order for something that ships quickly I'm usually glued to the tracking website all day every day to see where it is.

My Christmas gift to me is a navy blue MTD 535-24. It's probably won't be here by the actual holiday, but it should be close.

Bonus: It'll be my first road trip to the MTD shop!

You describe my preferred environment. Winter wood-cutting in NM can be anything from mild and dry t-shirt weather on smooth forest roads to full-on snow and ice-packed 4x4 trails and blizzard conditions.

I literally just got back from clearing an oak and collateral Juniper off a snow-packed county road here in the East Mtns. I would've appreciated a quieter option than my Stihl MS261 at 10pm, but I had to use what I have (and it has been flawless since I bought it years ago). The road is clear, at least.

My wife grew up on a lake in Michgan and had a boat before she had a car. I thought she might wear out her grinning muscles after we bought the boat, which makes me very happy, indeed.
