Your Favorite And Cheapest Bass?

Peavy USA made some nice basses when Fender was struggling to get back in the game after the C-BS'ers nearly destroyed it. Like a few other non-Fender brands (one ironically headed by a guy named Fender), they are under-rated.

I bought a charvel new for $200 year ago (When they were usually going for over $600) - it was MIJ, well built and played great. Yes, it was '80s ugly, but it was a fine cheap axe. Yeah, I worked at the store, so that's why the price was so low... still...

In 1979: Late '60's Aria Diamonds 335 style hollowbody bass, got it for a $75 Cortez mustang bass copy trade, $10, and three hours of cleaning up a '60 era music store. What a great bass, I wish I still had it.
