Your favorite vocalist...

Freddie Mercury was the best - best tone, range, control. Sounded great when quiet, in between, belting, etc. All of today’s “divas” all sound like they are yelling at you all the time, no range or versatility (think Beyoncé / Jennifer Hudson).

Honorable mentions:

Sir Paul
Bruce Springsteen/Kurt Cobain (rasp, emotion, control)
Bono - great falsetto, control and very professional (sings everything true to record, doesn’t mail it in sing everything down an octave like Chris Martin)

I put on “So” a week or two ago and I couldn’t listen to it. My 4 year old daughter watched the Disney money “Tarzan” on repeat for like a week when she was sick a couple months ago, where the soundtrack was done by Peter Gabriel, and it totally killed him for me, hopefully that fades, but when I hear his voice all I can think of is Tarzan.
Actually, Phil Collins did the Tarzan soundtrack, but I get what you mean.
