Your Gig Rig

Rig.jpg

Custom built JAF bass-> Ashdown 500W Superfly Head-> Custom wired Dr. Bass 2x12 cab.

If I were to change anything, it would be to get the 1000W Ashdown Little Giant with one each 2x10 and 1x15 Dr Bass cabs.

As it is, that little rig gives me more than enough power to rattle your wife's dishes.... I mean that figuratively and literally. ;)

I happened to be fine-tuning the rig & put together a new pedalboard, so maybe it's time for a post!

This is my main setup for touring & larger one-off gigs. Not pictured are the basses (obviously) & my custom DHA DI-EQ that sits on top of the amp.

And packed up for transport:

My main basses are a '62 Jazz RI, '57 P RI and a P5 Am. Deluxe. Sometimes my Antigua '78 Fretless P makes it on the road as well:

Ahh... the good old frowny face EQ.... :hiding:

Lol! I do like more mids than your average thumb pilot!

Seriously though, Most of that graphic is set at +/- 0. I'm just cutting the ultra-high frequencies a tiny bit and giving a couple of extra db's @ 63hz, 1k and 4k. There's not a lot of eq'ing happening at the amp at all! Just blood-curdling volume.
