Doesn't look good for the Giants, need to take the next three games to take on Capn's Tigers. We have been here before but it still looks tough,

Don't count yourself out just yet. Just take it one game at a time. Boston came back and beat the Yankees after being down 3-0 so your team's task is easier than that. You also came back on the Reds and swept them in 3 straight after they just about swept you. That's why I was still nervous during yesterday's game until I saw Peralta nail his first of two homers. There was no way the Yankees are coming back from a 6 run deficit against our pitchers unless Valverde was pitching in the 9th, which I knew wouldn't happen or the entire city of Detroit would want Leyland's head on a platter.

You are right. It isn't impossible, just tough and we have done it before. That is why we call it "Giants torture." :p
At tip of my hat to Detroit they are a tough team, it should be a good series no matter who they play.

It's not Detroit's pitching, it's New York's complete lack of offense...

Jeter was hitting .415 in the postseason until the injury, and Raul was hitting clutch, that was about it. Now there's no Jeter, Cano (their most reliable hitter behind Jeter) can't seem to make contact, Granderson's dropped, and Rodriguez has been playing sub-par for the past three years. As much as I love the Yanks, tonight's results weren't surprising.:rollno::rollno::rollno:

Isn't is amazing how no one wants to give the Tigers the credit they deserve. The Yankees sucked and the Tigers kicked their A$$ four straight games.

Dang. Giants baseball.. Torture! They don't die. And now 2 games in SF with Vogelsong and Cain pitching. It's still a tough road, but the fat lady hasn't sung yet.
And very cool for Zito to be the hero. He was the goat around here for so long, with a huge contract that he didn't live up to. This makes up for some of that. Great to see the fan support he had tonight.

Yea. You would have thought he was wearing a Oakland A's uniform. ;)

Ha ZING. And that was not the Zito STL fans wanted to see.

Another fugly and frustrating game. The Giants capitalized on the mistakes the Cards made. Oh, and otherwise outplayed us, too.

Fun fact: during this series, the lead has only changed once (in the same inning no less). And for each game, one team has just been on and the other looks like the Cubbies/Dodgers (based on your preference, of course :D ) TONS of runners LOB. No back and forth at all. Unexpected out of these two teams.

Giants play hard when they're up against it.
Considering this team is built on starting pitching, and 3/5 of the starting pitching has been really meh the last part of the season, they're doing amazing stuff.
