We just can't get guys around the bases. We can get bases loaded all day but then we hit into a double play. That's been our curse all year. If we had half the runs as runners left on base, we'd have record setting runs. TIGERS ARE FRUSTRATING ME!!!

Like I said, it's not who you play but when you play them. Giants were hot and we were not. A month ago and you might have different results but it is what it is and congrats to the Giants for playing out of their minds and winning the World Series. Here's but us getting Victor Martinez back in DH and developing our 4-7 hitting spots to quit swinging at pitches that are out of the strike zone.
Good thing I don't gamble on baseball for a living.

As a lifelong Dodgers fan I am required to hate the Giants. Despite those deep-seeded feelings, my opinion of this year's Giants changed over the course of the playoffs. Not only did they play great baseball, but their heart, spirit, and determination was impossible to ignore. Congrats, Giants. You earned it. Cheers!!
All that said, I look forward to the Dodgers kicking your @$$ next season.

If I'm being honest, I thought (like I imagine all Dodger fans thought) that LA was going to run roughshod over the division after their big trade acquisitions and Melky Cabrera being busted as a cheater.
While I always liked Marco Scutaro (and watched him come up through the A's farm system and play AAA in Sacramento) I would have never guessed what his addition would mean to the team. Just goes to show how important team chemistry can be.
And yes, I fully expect the Dodgers to come back strong next season too. Personally I think baseball is the most fun for me when the Giants AND the Dodgers are playing good ball.

I hate the Dodgers but I respect them too. I want them to have a great team because it makes so much more satisfying when we roll over them. I see hope for the Dodgers now that they have new ownership. I loved the days when we would take on Tommy Lasorda's meatballs. I look forward to a good rivalry.
And congrats to the Tigers for on a great season. Winning the A.L and sweeping the Yankees is no small feat. I saw Jim Leyland on TV after the game, he is definetly a great manager and classy guy in general. Good luck next year. Should we do it again.
I love Romo, throwing an 89 mph fastball up the middle to Cabrera. Now that takes kidneys. When you do that to Cabrera the ball usually ends up in the stands, I think it caught him by total suprise as he watched the third strike cross the plate. San Francisco went nuts last night. I was having a screaming contest with my neighbors.
Suddenly I don't feel so bad about the Cardinals losing to the Giants. Wow, they were killing. It is frustrating to know that we were 1 game away from taking the Tigers in the world series and probably putting up a good fight. Oh well, just not in the cards this year.
