I love to write. Fiction, nonfiction...I'd love to get into music journalism. Old noir/mystery stuff is a huge love of mine, I just subscribed to Hardboiled Magazine and I'm a huge Phillip Marlowe and Mickey Spillane fan. The Shadow is sweet, too.
I'm also a dabbler in acting. Last year I played Creon in a modern, WWII-era adaptation of Antigone and Dracula in..uh...Dracula. Prior to these I roles I was in a host of middle school shows in very minor roles.
Musically, I have a fascination with Middle Eastern music. Trying to pick a few things by ear.
There's an old Mac game called Oni that I just got my hands on again, and am modding it all I can. So much fun.
I enjoy digital art, although I dunno how good I really am, so do tell- Link Removed .

Writing fiction!
Aside from Masked Jackal, it doesn't look like we have a lot of writers on the board.
After playing bass, I probably spend most of my time writing.
Also, spicy food. Cooking it, eating it - I can't get enough.
Rick - that's some bike! Looks like a genuine hardtail - can't be too comfy.

Tell me about it! My kidneys hurt right know just looking at the pictures.
Really its not too bad for cruising around town, but I can guarantee you will never see me on a cross-country trip using that bike.
I'm not sure they could be considered passion, but...

well, considering that music is my main passion (everything about music basically.) my other hobbies (i'd rather call them that rather than a passion) would have to be video games and a lot of sports. i like a lot of sports, there are just a few i dont like, for example, i hate baseball.. haha.... so yea....
Bass is my passion, however I get alot of enjoyment from building effects, photography and reading. Although unfortunately I havent fired any of my film camera's in 6 months and haven't picked up a book in 2-3....

Musically: Flute. I've been playing 12 years now. Anything musically. I love challenging myself to see how I can incorporate something new into music.
Non-Music: Not sure... I've been getting into Cars lately, playing Poker, and I have Fifa-Fever. I've been playing soccer since I was a kid. I love it.

My music ministry in church is my greatest passion followed by:Sailing, golf, computers, and cooking...in that order
Musically, I also enjoy composing and singing. But for non-music passions, my main thing is pool, primarily 8 ball (BCA League).
I also love playing guitar (it's pretty much the other half of my split musical personality) and like tplyons I'm also a bit of a vintage synthesizer freak.
Aside from music, I love cooking and creating recipes. I'm also a little weird when it comes to maps and geography; I can easily waste too much time on Google Earth looking at stuff.
I love going to antique stores. I don't end up buying a whole lot, but I just like looking around at all that old stuff.

For Me its the following...
Football. I mean real football that the Americans call "Soccer". I am from London so naturally I support the best - West Ham United. Follow them home and away.
History. I am an avid World War One and World War Two buff and have written a non-fiction book on a British Cavalry Regiment that fought during World War One. Spend far too much on books than is healthy.
Fitness. I love weight training and train 4 - 5 times a week. Also pretty choosey on what I eat - but have been known to go on the occasional all day beer session.
Web Design. I quite enjoy web design and have constructed many websites for myself and for others too.
Reading. I absolutley love reading history books, mostly from World War One and World War Two.

One of my other passions is beer. I have been brewing ales and lagers from scratch for over 12 years. I can duplicate just about any micro brew you can buy. I have my own kegging system wich enables me to have my homebrew on tap. Here are some pics from from my last brewing. The beer I brewed is called Kolsch. This style of beer comes from Germany. With plenty of Saaz hops added to the boil, this makes for a great summer beer.

1. My Church. My wife and I are very active, working with music ministry (duh), youth, a diversity/racial dialogue, small group ministry and I coach/mentor in a basketball league for young men aged 18-25, most of whom don't go to our church.
2. I love politics. I'm a pro-life Libertarian. Not sure what that means? I won't go into it here, since this isn't the proper place for it, but PM me and I'll send you a link to my political blog.
3. I absolutely love boxer dogs, and I think they're just about the perfect dog. They're big enough to scare off would be harmful people, friendly as heck with the kids, love to play and love to cuddle. What could be better?
4. I obsess over getting a motorcycle.
5. I love my family a great deal and sacrifice some of my musical interests to spend more time with them.
6. I enjoy watching sports, especially basketball and football. Lately I've really been getting into the MMA/UFC fighting.
