It depends on the application and sometimes which "flavor" I'm in the mood for.

interesting to see what the market is like. No big shock that Ampeg is #1. Genz-Benz is killing it though.

I think a lot of people are not one brand only guys. I voted Aguilar, because that's what I've been using lately, but I also own fender, Hiwatt, AMP, and Ampeg amps. Have owned Genz, Mark Bass, Hartke, and Mesa.

lately for heavy boom boom I use the Sansamp RBI => QSC PLX 2420 => Schroeder 412R

For smaller gigs, I've been using a Roland Cube Keyboard amp from the 80's. it has 2 pairs of stereo line in's with a 15, a mid range & a tweeter. I run bass, vox, sound efx through it and it works for me, despite what most say about Roland gear......

After playing for 24 years, in various studios, practice spaces, and gigs where backline was provided, I have played through virtually every make of amp there is. I dig a modern, punchy sound, and I have found that GK gets me exactly what I want. My second choice would be Hartke. I find it virtually impossible to get a tone I like from an Ampeg, despite the fact that they always seem to sound fantastic when other people play through them. It's just not the tone I'm going for. I was surprised to get a tone reasonably close to "mine" recently on a backlined Kustom. I've never been satisfied at all with the sound of a Carvin head, at least not those I've tried, despite my long-standing love affair with both their cabs and (especially) their basses.
