Your thoughts on heavy metal

Yes I like and respect Heavy Metal. The heavier it is though, the less I like it. I remember when I thought it couldn't get much heavier than Iron Maiden.... that was a long, long time ago.

It's just like any other genre. Heavy Metal can be anything from simple power chords to intricate wankering.
Vinnie Vincent used to pull off some Heavy Metal stuff that was pretty impressive. He was actually too Heavy Metal for KISS.

Even within one band there is all types.
Although Lemmy wouldn't agree that they were a Heavy Metal band, some of their stuff could definitely be classified as Heavy Metal, and a lot of it is pretty difficult to duplicate.

I agree, BUT , in my opinion , most rap is not music in any shape or form ! drool

I despise it as a matter of personal taste, but I don't universally disrespect it.
Strikes me as the Big Time Wrestling of the music world. But whatever turns you on...

I had a whole box of cassette tapes stolen from my vehicle once, and the ones I nearly cried over were "To Mega Therion" & "No Sleep 'til Hammersmith".
Back then, it wasn't as easy as going to the local music store for a replacement. I drove 4 hours to/from Potomac Mills shopping center to get those cassettes.
