Your Tube amp

Maybe I'm ignorant, but how much power do those Peavey 400's put out? 8 6550's has to be a monster load of power man!

400 watts.

That picture of the markbass 300 is epic, I love the night shots of tube amps.

Thanks! That was a fun pic to take.

A beautiful condition, one owner only, 40 year old Orange OR-120. I also purchased the 2x15 Reflector cab upon which the POG is resting at the same time in January 1972.

Ahh, ok. I thought they were both similar & to the Koch 300w tube amp.

Yup.

A co. here sells 'em too -Ashton. They're built in China afaik
BV300. Interesting & thanks.

That is a different lineage of amps, which includes the current Eden head.

After all these vulgar displays of tube wealth, I'd feel somewhat inadequate submitting this humble rig - if it didn't sound so friggin' good!

I bet that VB-2 pairs up really well with the Trace 2x15. That's a great cab! And your basses are also quite nice.

Thanks, Tom. High praise coming from one who knows gear like few others. The cab is incredible for it's size and plays nice with the few other heads that I've mated it with. With the VB-2, I've been brazen enough to ask for a mic on it along with the great onboard D.I. for all my shows now :D

Yeah, that Trace 2x15 is easier to move than most would think, and you are right, it does get along well with a variety of heads, both solid state and tubes. I'm always amazed by the high end clarity that you can get from that cab with just two 15's.

Yes Sorry, was doing it from my ph. Meant to say it was pretty different -especially as you said - in the front end.
So the older Eden, Koch & Sadowsky all similar...sort of? Are they all built in same places or just the design, then the different companies put their "Stamp" - not meaning just their name tag- stamp as in front end & sonic signature to them?
Dang impressive array of all tube amps there Tom. You got a fave? :D

Mr Bear...
Love that 'pics only' Orange 120!!!

I have not spent any time with a Koch, but the VT-300 and the SA200 have some common characteristics, but the Eden is more gritty and aggressive and the Sadowsky is more smooth and balanced.

As for a favorite, that would be the SA200, though the Reeves C225, V8, V-4B, and VA400 are right up there.
