That's not true. You could simply be in Foghat. If the ladies who are lining up to "meet you" are not even a little pretty...
Yeah, but it's not a "TOUR" tour.I realize this is supposed to be humorous, but the fact is if someone is traveling from town to town to play, they are in fact on tour. It may be a lame tour, but it's a tour nonetheless.
Yeah I LOL'd @ that one."If your bass player is also your sound man, you're not on tour."
Well, that one stung a bit.![]()

Not to mention "producers".We also need a thread about home studios.
Lol, had an exceptional example of this earlier this summer. I showed up early, at 7, gig was at 9. Bar/restaurant, NOT on tour. We were doing full PA, and this couple, in their 90's I would guess, are well into their steak dinners, right where we/I need to setup. I read the situation, talked to staff, and grabbed a beer and hung back. Everyone else eventually shows up, but this couple is in slow motion. Sopped up every bit of sour cream or horseradish till plates were clean. didn't even start setting up till around 8:45.If you have to wait for patrons to finish eating so tables can be moved from where the band sets up, you aren't on tour.
If your band transportation consists of an SUV, a one-ton pickup truck and a Prius, you are not On Tour.
If you Mom comes to watch most of the gigs, you are NOT on tour!
