Could look at Status Graphite.
Definitely a possibility. I only wish they did their mids more like conventional basses with the knob as the boost/cut and the switch as a frequency selector.

I didn't really put down a deposit, I took them at their word and paid in full...plunked it all down.
You lifted this straight from my (future) epitaph!...I'm actually a bit of a cynic...sarcastic, downright snippy...
I paid in full too, d’oh.
A few years ago, someone here paid in full up front for two Zons. Only one arrived -- after 2+ years. He got reimbursed for the other (also 2+ years) after filing a claim via his valuable personal property insurance policy.
When I ordered my Zon I negotiated 25% down instead of 50%, and my bass arrived after 9 months. But as noted above, I'm also the guy who put 100% down on a Huff bass that's still nothing but air after 18 years, so I can't claim to be more clever than anyone else.
When did you order your Zon?

Rob Green does provide this option (which I requested on my last Status build). I much prefer it to the standard Status preamp set-up.Definitely a possibility. I only wish they did their mids more like conventional basses with the knob as the boost/cut and the switch as a frequency selector.
Bartolini does, or at least, did, back in the day.I've never seen a bass with a circuit like you're describing with a "switch" for the frequency selector...
Hey guys! I'm here with a bit of encouraging news. The last time I spoke with Joe about my build, he had told me that things were delayed because the preamp he needed was backordered. Based on other accounts in the Zon threads, I was concerned about the validity of that statement. I'm a bit relieved in that the company that makes the preamp actually confirmed that there were significant delays with that particular preamp, and that after many months they were slated to head out to Zon in the next few weeks. I don't know if that will clear up my specific build immediately, but it did ease my mind quite a bit. The builder was apologetic and said he'd had a crazy year (understandable) and that things were finally getting back on track. Here's to hope!

I think Zon could definitely regain its mojo. Its still got a long history and good associations in many folks minds.Even if Zon and Huff got all the orders out, who would order a bass from them knowing the risk?
Interesting read. These basses must magically transform the player into the second coming of Jaco to put up with what some have posted. To each their own i guess. I wish those waiting the best of luck.
Not quite...but what is there to do at this point but hope for the best?

Many moons ago, I ordered a Conklin with a Dymondwood fingerboard and Bartolini pickups. Barts and Dymondwood/Rockwood really bring out that high end fretless tone.
