OK, but why? Is Rumblefisher some kind of deep undercover employee of one of Zon's competitors?
A scammer's road to prosperity is always paved by apologists, enablers, and denialists. They litter scammer threads, stickied or not. Their vociferous presence ignores or attacks injured parties, in all scam threads A to Z.

This is, at best, idiotic. I'm pretty non-confrontational, but I do believe it's important to call out stupidity in order to stamp it out.
I have been a Talkbass member since 2007, I have a perfect track record here, eBay (since 2000), and Reverb (since 2012). I would encourage you to look at every thread I've ever started or, for that matter, have been a part of. Till now, I'd venture to say not a single one has been out and out negative.
This post that I'm writing now, however, is likely the most pointed one I've ever written. I've gone out of my way to be complementary of Martin and Joe. I've been plenty patient for close to a decade.
I am not a musician by trade, have no financial relationship with anyone in the music industry whatsoever, and I have been a bass gear FANATIC for almost 20 years. What on earth would I possibly have to gain by torpedoing the business of someone I gave thousands of dollars to to make an instrument for me? How would that make a lick of sense?
To be clear, because apparently I haven't been clear enough in previous posts...
My ire is not directed at Martin or Joe here. It is what it is. Stuff happens. I get it. We are beyond griping. They will deliver when they see fit, and I think the worst thing I can do at this point is poke and prod them in their process...if I were to do that, I should have done that six or seven years ago.
My annoyed tone is directed at Andy for making a misinformed assertion that I take exception to. I can only surmise that you are used to dealing with petty personalities. Please do not assume that automatically makes me one because you don't align with my hands off approach.
To me, it's a sign of respect. You talk, you pay, you trust the job will be done. Sadly, I'm learning from a disappointingly increasing number of dealing this isn't necessarily the case anymore.

If you'd actually read this entire thread you wouldn't be questioning Rumblefisher's integrity, because you would have seen similar experiences shared by numerous others. Zon Club thread has a longer history, and more examples.
I can play the conspiracy game too. Are you Joe Zon or Martin Peters? And on that note, has anyone ever seen Joe and Martin in the same room together?

Thank you, my apologies. Well said.
I thought I would share some hopeful news for some (I used this thread more for motivation than anything else): I received a tracking number for my bass which should arrive Tuesday; I also received some killer photos and communication from Joe on some of the quirks I requested. I’ll be sure to share updates here and photos in the Zon club.
It did. Very impressed and happy with the way it turned out. Playability was perfect out of the box. Glad I opted for coil tapping.
