Zoom b3 patch Ideas

Here's a new patch idea I came up with. this patch is similar to the gk fusion patch, only with a tube-screamer model at a low gain setting along with a hartke 4x10 cab model for a more aggressive punchy sound. a great patch for playing rock and metal music.

GK fusion 2

Section 1: bass drive: bass: 3, treble: 2, presence: 0, gain: 45, blend: 50, level: 100, mid: 7

Section 2: t-scream: gain: 10, tone: 50, level: 100, balance: 50

Section 3: g-krueger: bass: 3, mid: 4, treble: 2, midfq: 250hz, gain: 45, level: 80, color: off, cab: ha4x10, mix: 50

Thank you for these awesome patches. Really! I used your modern punch patch last week at a local gig and I compared to the old patch that I used and it is SOOOO much better.

Sure thing, dude. glad the patches worked out for you. I did all I can to come up with nifty patches. even today considering that the zoom b3n is released.
I've had the B3 for 3 years now and I haven't gotten around all the possibilities about this useful tool. I saw the B3N and I don't know, but I'm not feeling the aesthetic of it. It looks like those old multi fx from the 90s that zoom came out with. The B3 looks more futuristic to me

Hi crystalman. Can you do a Karnivool patch? Such as Simple Boy and Goliath? :D

The least I can do for a karnivool sound is the patches I came up with for duplicating the darkglass alpha omega.

Omega bass drive

Section 1: dualcomp: hi: 30, lo: 25, freq: 900hz, level: 100, tone: 4

Section 2: d.i plus: bass: 4, mid: 3, treble: 2, gain: 70, blend: 15, color: off, chan: dist.

Section 3: super b: bass: 4, mid: 4, treble: 5, midfq: 250hz, gain: 25, level: 90, presence: 8, cab: ag1x15, mix: 50

Alpha bass drive
  1. Section 1: m comp: thresh: 17, ratio: 4, level: 100, attack: 8

    Section 2: squeak: gain: 25, tone: 50, level: 100, balance: 15

    Section 3: svt: bass: 4, mid: 4, treble: 3, midfq: 350hz, gain: 40, level: 40, ultra: both, cab: swr4x10, mix: 50

Give one of these patches a try and see which one of these patches suits your needs for that karnivool sound. they both sound pretty killer.

Thank you! I'll translate this to the B3n since I already let go of my B3. Amazing!

If you could match that for a patch that would be amazing!

Even better, if you or anyone could tab just the first few bars of the intro, I'd be ecstatic!
It's simple but I'm not good at note matching when it comes to bass (low pitch notes).

Sounds to me like an ampeg amp model with an eden 4x10 or perhaps an eden amp model with the sansamp bass driver. give one of these patches a shot.

M comp: thresh: 17, ratio: 4, level: 90, attack: 7

Svt: bass: 4, mid: 3, treble: 2, midfq: 250hz, gain: 40, level: 40, ultra: low, cab: e4x10, mix: 50

or

Bassdrive: bass: 3, treble: 2, presence: 0, gain: 50, blend: 75, level: 100, mid: 5

Heaven: bass: 4, mid: 3, treble: -2, midfq: 250hz, gain: 45, level: 90, color: 2, cab: ag8x10, mix: 50

Here's a new patch Idea I came up with. this patch closely duplicates the Isolated bass track to rooster by alice in chains.

Rooster bass

Section 1: squeak: gain: 50, tone: 45, level: 100, balance: 15

Section 2: flanger: depth: 75, rate: 20, reso: 4, pred: 3, level: 95, locut: 180hz

Section 3: svt: bass: 2, mid: 3, treble: 4, midfq: 250hz, gain; 40, level: 40, ultra: low, cab: ag1x15, mix: 50

Note: this patch can only work in manual mode. kick on the squeak distortion model at the chorus part. the part at 2:08 of this clip is an example of this patch.

Here's a new patch idea I came up with. this patch closely duplicates the tube driven sounds of a hotone thunderbass.

Hotone bassdrive

Section 1: d.i plus: bass; 3, mid: 4, treble: 2, gain: 80, blend: 45, level: 90, color: on, chan: clean

Section 2: t-scream: gain: 25, tone: 50, level: 100, balance: 50

Section svt: bass: 2, mid: 3, treble: 4, midfq: 300hz, gain: 40, level: 45, ultra: both, cab: sb4x12, mix:50

Here's another patch Idea I came up with. this patch has a lightly distorted bass sound with tight punch and compression.

Metallic bass

Dual comp: hi: 24, lo: 25, freq: 1.0khz, level: 100, tone; 3

Section 2: squeak: gain: 10, tone: 50, level: 100, balance: 20

Section 3: svt: bass: 3, mid: 4, treble: 0, midfq: 250hz, gain: 40, level: 40, ultra: both, cab: ag8x10, mix: 50

Hey Crystalman85 - wanted to share a few thoughts on this patch with you:

As an AIC fan (but I don't know many of their songs on bass), I was intrigued to check this patch out - also because none of my current patches use a flanger. Anyway, I liked this one a lot, but at one point while messing around with it, I turned the flanger off instead of the squeak and thought running the squeak and svt made a real nice sound. I tweaked the settings on the squeak (dropped the gain a bit and brought the tone down to about 20). The resulting sound on my bass sounds a lot to me like Velvet Revolver's "Slither", so this may be my new patch for that song.

What ever works for you, john. glad this patch worked out for you. this patch was meant to duplicate the Isolated bass track to the song rooster. the squeak distortion model was meant to be disengaged during the clean parts and then engaged during the chorus.
