Zoom b3 patch Ideas

Here's a new patch I came up with. the patch closely duplicates the heavy sounds of a boss md-2 mega distortion with a noise gate added for reduced noise.

Mega bass distortion

Section 1: znr: thresh: 17, detect: efxln, level: 100

Section 2: overdrive: gain: 70, tone: 30, level: 100, balance: 25

Section 3: fliptop: bass : 4, mid: 4, treble: 3, midfq: 300hz, gain: 45, level: 80, ultra: low, cab: ag8x10, mix: 50

Here's another patch idea I came up with. this patch is similar to the thick metal bass patch. this patch closely duplicates the thick distorted sounds of a dod boneshaker with the marshall super bass amp model adding some beef to the distorted patch.

Thick metal bass 2

Section 1: limiter: thresh: 20, ratio: 4, level: 90, release: 4

Section 2: metalwrld: gain: 40, tone: 50, level: 100, balance: 25

Section 3: super b: bass: 4, mid: 4, treble: 5, midfq: 250hz, gain: 40, level: 80, cab: ag1x15, mix: 50

Here's a new patch idea I came up with. this patch closely duplicates the light overdrive sounds(maim) of a tortuga werewolf over-stortion pedal.

Werewolf bass drive

Section 1: m comp: thresh: 20, ratio: 4, level: 90, attack: 7

Section 2: t-scream: gain: 40, tone: 50, level: 100, balance: 25

Section 3: di5: gain: 70, tone: 4, level: 100, hi cut: on

Hi Crystalman,
Any chance you could try to make a Spock's Beard patch? :) Dave Meros is a fantastic player as are all of the guys in the band. Try listening to The Light. You will hear Dave's monster tone!
Brent

I took a listen to the light by spock's beard and parts of the song sounds like a bright tube sound with some chorus. and the other part sounds like there's some distortion added. give this patch a try and see if this works out for you.

Spock's beard(clean)

Section 1: m comp: thresh: 17, ratio: 4, level: 90, attack: 5

Section 2: stereo chorus: depth: 70, rate: 25, mix: 50, locut: 180hz, level: 90

Section 3: svt: bass: 4, mid: 3, treble: 2, midfq: 200hz, gain: 30, level: 35, ultra: both, cab: e4x10, mix: 50

Spock's beard(distorted)

Section 1: overdrive: gain: 5, tone: 10, level: 90, balance: 15

Section 2: stereo chorus: depth: 70, rate: 25, mix: 50, locut: 180hz, level: 90

Section 3: svt: bass: 4, mid: 3, treble: 2, midfq: 200hz, gain: 30, level: 35, ultra: both, cab: e4x10, mix: 50

Not quite sure if this patch would work, but give it a try. if that doesn't work, try using the aguilar amp model with a sansamp model.

Here's another patch I came up with. this patch closely duplicates the warm overdriven sounds of a fuzzrocious dark driving.

Dark bass drive

Section 1: limiter: thresh: 20, ratio: 5, level: 90, release: 4

Section 2: t-scream: gain: 40, tone: 50, level: 100, balance: 25

Section 3: monotone: bass: 4, mid: 3, treble: 2, midfq: 300hz, gain: 50, level: 70, char: flat, cab: pt1x15, mix: 50

Too cool! Thank you! Dave was using a Rick 4003 back then into a Digitech Rp20 guitar multi effect usually into Eden amps and cabs. Later he used a heavily modified Rick 4003 with 4 Jazz bass pickups! into a Digitech Rp21 which he still uses. Thanks again!

Oh so he uses a digitech rp with his rig. that would explain the distorted sounds I heard from the song. hope the patch I posted helped you out.

Here's a new patch idea I came up with. this patch is similar to the empress metal bass patch. only with an ampeg svt model for a tube-emulated approach.

Empress metal bass 2

Section 1: limiter: thresh: 20, ratio: 4, level: 90, release: 4

Section 2: metalwrld: gain: 40, tone: 50, level: 100, balance: 25

Section 3: svt: 4, mid: 4, treble: 5, midfq: 250hz, gain: 40, level: 45, ultra: low, cab: ag1x15, mix: 50

I started uploading the patches themselves to my Google Drive a couple of years ago. There were well over 100. Then someone accidentally deleted them all (not me!) and I gave up after re-uploading as many as I had backed up elsewhere.
I'll try to link it here. Struggling on my cell phone atm.
.
I think there's a couple of other guys who did a similar thing. I'm sure they'll chime in.

EDIT: It's all early stuff from Crystalman85's "Zoom B3 Patch Ideas" thread. As I said, I gave up after so much was deleted by someone! LOL!
