Slightly more oblong, but basically the same size and weight as a large bar of bath soap.

I picked up one last week, recorded my first band rehearsal, using its built in mics.
This thing is awsome, well worth the 200 bucks.
sounds decent, It's easier than most digital recording devices I've used.
If you're on the fence, Just get it.
I'm a happy customer.
Oh and it probably weighs slightly less than a bar of soap.

Here's a review for you.
After reading this thread yesterday at 3pm, and having a rehearsal at 630pm, I stopped at Samash at 5pm on the way home from work and bought it, (read the quick start guide at stop lights), set it on a mic stand with batteries at 630 and recorded a 90 min session. It cant get any better than that. I've been needing something like this to record my lessons with and bring live clips to my teacher to hear (I hope Jeff Berlin doesnt stop me, he packs too much info in to remember in a sitting), and to critique our sound from an audience perspective...(our Board Op is in a balcony away from the main area and I don't believe his ear take anyway.
What great piece of easy tech this puppy is. Thank you James for the thread.
