I bought a Zoom B2.1u about 2 yes ago, but sold it since I couldn't understand how to use it (didn't read the manual )Later I got a new B3, way much easier to use. But as you know it has its limitations: only 3 effects at a time, and no expression pedal. Sold it again and now I own a B9.1ut in very good condition. 10 effects plus expression pedal. Once you understand how to build patches, save them and swap them it's easy to get the most out of it.

I have a B2.1u that I've recently started investigating.
Is it feasible to translate B3 patch settings to B2 speak ?
Also, I get that there are amp and cab simulations amongst other things, but would there be bass simulations?
So, for an example, could I get a Hofner (for 1) sound from my P style bass by a patch that someone has designed? Or am I off base with that thought?

No, there are no bass patches. Translating the patches manually could potentially work, in other words, if you like a patch, mark down what the settings are and then manually enter them into the other pedal. I don't believe that the library software translates one set of patches from one pedal to another.

Patch library for B2. You may be able to get close with some Sims or efx, the B3 offers more detailed control over the B2. Fwiw I am still using my B2 because I have spent so much time refining my tones, the B3 to add more effect choices.

Hey guys, I have been trying to use mt b3 to record. I use the usb into my mac and I am using audacity. I can get it to record but there is a lag between what I play on my bass, to what is played on my mac, when I play a note on my bass, the note plays on my computer about one second later. I am wondering if anyone knows how to fix this. Thanks.
Just updating here - I love my B3!! It's funny, I went to see a local band a couple weeks ago and noticed the bass tone was fantastic so me being me I went up to see what the guy was running. Lo and behold he had a B3 sitting down there with a couple other effects I couldn't see but his feet seemed to be most active on the Zoom.
Just ordered a Zoom B3, so count me in.
Can't wait till it gets here
I know the bit crusher, reverbs, delays, possibly some of the synths and not least the looper are going to get a lot of love, especially with my ambient/noise/drone project.
Probably going to use it as a real time effect for more than just bass too.
At least I plan on experimenting with running guitars, tape recorders, radio, organ, flute, harmonica, accordion and more through it to manipulate the sound real time while recording.
Can't wait till it gets here

I've got a Zoom B3 that just kicks butt. I was pleasantly surprised by the built in tuner. Kind of makes my Snark irrelevant. I love jamming with the drum loops, using the looper, and experimenting with the various effects, building patches. Gives me all I want out of a pedal and then some!

I just tried my B3 out.
As I live in an apartment only with headphones so far (a pair of expensive good headphones that is though)
And from what I heard, quickly going through the different effects and amp simulations, I can only say I am happy and satisfied with my investment, and not only that, deeply impressed with the general quality of the effects.
Even the dirt models sounds quite well.
Miles above the cheap and cheap looking and sounding Zoom effects I have owned previously.
So now my question:
I finally decided to make a separate thread for the questions, so if anyone want to help out, please look here: Is my Zoom B3 faulty?
