Seems to handle 6 slots well with basic effects

So nice to have the 1073 pre and 1176 comp.

It sounds great so far.

The cabs at 100% mix sound impressive.

My live board is done.

Excited to try this as a front end to my guitar amp VST sims with my Fralin Tele

I love my B2 Four. I've looked into the G2 four recently out of curiosity. I know some things are different, but are all of the modules "tuned" differently even if they have the same name? Or will the reverb, compression, delay, distortion, all be the exact same if they are named the same on the G2 four? Just wondering.

I'm just guessing here, but I think the reverbs & delays will be the same. I think the compressors and distortions SHOULD be different, but if they aren't then that's just what one would expect in this price arena.

FWIW the comps in the MS70CDR+ are very good, much improvement over the MS60B and MS70CDR that I have been using for ages.

as are the preamps and comps in the 60B+

here's my final chain for clean amp tones - LOW EQ set to HPF at 70

i branch to the right output before the amp to drive ToneX and blend to taste - stunning results!

Oh, how I wish Zoom would implement that path branch for the DI on the B2 Four.

Do they get in the way when playing live?

I bought and returned a B2 Four. One of the disappointments for me was those buttons. When playing live I only seemed to be able to hit them when I didn't mean to.

Since Zoom apparently has no concern for PC/Android users I have bitten the fruit and found a cheap way to take the bite out of Apple. I have amassed the parts necessary and it is working like an almost charm with my MS70CDR+. The roughly used iPad Air 2 [2014][from Back Market 92 bucks delivered] with a generic [cheapest] camera dongle, usb a to c cable to Zoom MS70CDR+ is working fine. Plug and play made simple and the display size is nice. My only issue due to my own learning how to set up of the ipad is that it is timing out when I'd prefer it to stay on. That and I keep grabbing my mouse to make adjustments, doh.

@bassbrad Going by your signature you appear to have a B2 as well. Any chance you're going to A/B some of the effects?

I do have a B2 but it has been filled with synth and crazy sound creations. I did a quick comparison on some effects on my B2.1u and the MS70CDR+ and the CDR+ was easily much better sounding and quieter. I will likely keep the B2.1u as it is virtually worthless and it is an easy take for low friction runaways where sound perfection is not an issue. .

Can someone please confirm if the comps, drives, preamps and amps are better on the Zoom MS-60B+ than on the B2 Four? I watched all the Videos on YouTube about those two pedals and I think the MS-60B+ actually sounds better, I need someone to confirm or deny this before I can buy one of those.

I can't find where I saw it, but I'm pretty sure that they are the same. I suppose it would make sense for the 60B+ to be better since it's newer, but it's also not that much newer. If I find that source again I'll put a link.

It wouldn't make much sense for Zoom to rewrite the algorithms between two units in the same general time-frame of release. It's likely the signal path will be a little different-- for better or worse. I'm sure Zoom would not answer this as they have units to sell.

If someone wanted to get really nerdy, they could send the same signal to both units (via mult) with same settings on each single fx module and do a null test.

I cannot say whether the MS60B+effects are the same as the B2Four but I have made a comparison between my older MS70CDR and the new MS70CDR+ and there are significant improvements effect to effect and also when building complex chains. The CDR+ is quieter, more accurate in sound and feel. The bass specific effects are also much improved over the original CDR and the same effects on the MS60B. My only complaint so far is with the current versions is the need to use an Apple device for the supported editor, that works flawlessly on the cheap old iPad Air 2 that I bought.

I have done a comparison between a CDR and CDR + see my comments above.
