yeah. I mean, it's a Micro POG. it will octave ANYTHING. and plus I'm using a Fuzz Face, Hi-Fi it ain't...
I guess it wont be a problem! Plus it will sound awesome and stuff most likely.
A trim pot and a regular pot are the same thing (variable resistor), only one is designed to be used as an adjustable knob, while the other is in a more enclosed housing for 'set and forget' type stuff.
Thunderscreech, why do you want to remove the wool knob and replace it with something that will require you to open the enclosure to change? If you just directly swap the regular pot for a trimmer, then changing your fuzz setting will be a pain. I think I'm missing the point here...
EDIT: Just re-read the post... Got my pots mixed up. You said Pinch!! Even though... The pinch knob is kinda cool on the WM. You're right though. It probably is the least tweaked of the lot.

I'm gonna mount it on a piece of PC board so that way it can sorta poke up through the top of the enclosure for quick adjustment if necessary.
Oh yeah, I'm also making one of those pickup simulators so I can run my Micro-Pog in front of my Pelageated Loxodon (the working title for my Mammoth clone).

I built one a while ago using the layout shown. Mine is in a 1590B enclosure. Fits well, but no room for a battery if that bothers you? Here are some crappy phone pics. Excuse the mess in the pedal too. It was a Saturday morning 'for the heck of it' type project. Wasn't intended to be shown off!

Yeah I know the difference. I actually presumed he meant adding a trim pot for bias instead of the pinch/gate.

@ vene-nemesis, I've used cheapo green film caps with great results.
I wouldn't use the word "overkill" since Fuzz Faces have been build using some VERY expensive parts, but you probably won't hear a difference.

I posted a pic a page or two back. I made one for another TBer that I had forgotten about. The second one was not my favorite, by far, but he said he's happy with it 
My main gripe with that one was how long it took me to complete it. I suck 
Ok...so I just recieved the woolly mammoth (the real thing) and it pretty much sounds the same as the clone I used to have but a bit warmer and having more bottom end. It might just be the placebo effect but the mammoth is definitely a keeper. I can see myself keeping onto this for all my fuzz needs.
