Thats right, I had lots of grind and not enough clean. The 15db switch works to get the clean back and the amp is super touch sensitive, it can go from Round/smooth to grind just by your attack and if your near the bridge or neck. Very responsive amp, looking forward to our jam night!

^ Agreed, my 2500 has worked amazing but there was a few times I needed more power. Mine is used a damn old and works very well other than a dirty connection internaly I have to clean, its a workhorse!

If you want a lower watt break up then consider a multi watt amp head with a pristine clean channel. I have a Traynor YCS that is 50 or 15 watt that does a great job with the bass and guitar. With 50 watts it does not have the clean headroom on bass but overall the amp is stupid loud on...

I have been there and done the same thing. People look at us who want to help as suckers and wan't to take advantage. Its nice and good to help but you have to stick to your morals and values. I would not feel bad about it, sucks he lost his guitar but maybe its a lesson learned.
