My suggestion is similar to Pontiacs. I bought a Levy and went to a motorcycle/leather shop and had a longer extension piece made of matching leather. Looks good and fits well.

Thank you DJ, that is the bass he was using. I didn't think it was a Starfire, as I thought it had a full length neck, and that the Guilds were short scale. Perhaps one or both of my assumptions are incorrect. At any rate, I never saw him adjusting any knows or switches. He moved up and down...

I was surprised as well. I kept expecting him to swap instruments at some point, but he did not. I couldn't quite tell what he was playing. At first I thought a Guild Starfire, but that was not it. I think I counted 6 knobs and 2 switches. Perhaps a custom?

Great show tonight! Jack and Jorma tore it up. Outstanding musicianship as expected. Great fun. Definitely worth checking out if they come to your town.
