Flat finger muting and seventh fret harmonics

I don't have any advice, but I sure hope you work it out because that song kicks ass and should be shared far and wide.

    Weird pedals for bass?

I second this: I have a Boss LS-2 line switching pedal and it wasn't in my list above (see #31 above), as its 'just' a utility pedal, but it really helps when getting weird on bass. Another very satisfying acquisition, if not very flashy. I use the A+B Mix setting to create 2 send/return...

    Weird pedals for bass?

Oh man. I should not have clicked in here. So many new things to check out (and perhaps purchase)... My current collection of li'l weirdos includes: Red Panda Tensor - so much fun - delay/reverse delay/pitch shifting/time travel Radius - the new ring mod pedal - still learning about what it...

    Earthquaker Devices Blumes

This is my favorite use for Plumes: a boost w/ gain that I feed into other pedals, or run as always on. It is 'cleanish' in that it seems to strip out some low end, but I feel like it makes for a more articulated attack. I also use a line splitter to put some cleanish dry signal back into the...

    Earthquaker Devices Blumes

She also has a BLUMES demo on her YouTube page - She must have posted it like 2 minutes after you linked to her PLUMES vid.

    Earthquaker Devices Blumes

I got a used plumes on a whim because it was pretty cheap, and was surprised that it became one of my favorite pedals. I wonder how this new blumes will differ? guess I have to wait a couple days ...

Pro Bassist Makes a Mistake (not click-bate)

This reminded me of a story from the liner notes of Jimmy Smith's Blue Note album 'The Sermon'. It's about Lee Morgan on Trumpet - Smith had a signal to alert the soloists to wrap up. He'd hit a piercing, not quite discordant key on the organ. This was a 'live studio' recording, the cut is...

    Work Bass

I also 'work' from home, in the same room where I practice, so its available for frequent, needed sanity checks. Also: I just happen to be working on this song too - along with 'Skateaway'. Great songs, and so much fun to play.

Pro Bassist Makes a Mistake (not click-bate)

*hmmm. For the record, I did not use the word 'poopie', but I will defer to the bot's decision to keep things 'clean' around here.

Pro Bassist Makes a Mistake (not click-bate)

I listened to the track a couple of times and I can't even sense a mistake. I am sure that says something about me (or Jazz, LOL), but it's important to acknowledge that unless you completely poopie the bed, most people won't even notice. One of the most important skills when playing live music...

I need to double check... It sounds like I may be overwriting the saved preset without realizing it. ️ Might explain a few things...

Just FYI: I like having 'long press' for the footswitch set to jump between presets 1-3 (green led) to 4-6 (red led). You still use the 3-way toggle switch to choose the specific preset, but I find it easier than the little button on the back of the pedal. Lots of choices in these pedals! :)

    Thanks for that clip. Damn.

PYPB 44: ...like Tetris with boxes, wires and cables

RE clip-on tuners: I like the TC Electronic Poly-Tune and Uni-Tune clip-on tuners. I had used snark, but the connection between the clip and the tuner was a bit weak and wanted something more robust. Snark may have come up with a stronger design, but I the TC tuners work well and seemed less...

PYPB 44: ...like Tetris with boxes, wires and cables

Just throwing in some unsolicited advice, and using it as an excuse to post my board, too. ️ This advice might be obvious to some, but maybe useful for others. I recently acquired a Boss LS-2, with the idea of setting up loops in a way so I could add some dry signal back into the chain, no...
