    Vox Pathfinder bass amp

I'm curious to know...is it a closed back enclosure? I have lots of bass amps and a 15R guitar amp and a DA5. I'm guessing it's open backed but if it's a closed back, I may just get one for the great looks and small size. No pics on the net to show the back side of the bass 10 model...

Anyone know much about the Fender TV series?

here's what I posted yesterday. It's about 4 or 5 pages back... I tried one a week ago. I'm not actively looking for a replacement to my Markbass head and a pair of 12" lightweight Traynor cabs but I am a sucker for tweed combo amps. What I found was that I can get my old school sound...

Fender Bassman TV Fifteen Bass Combo GAS

I tried one a week ago. I'm not actively looking for a replacement to my Markbass head and 2x12 lightweight cabs but I am a sucker for tweed combo amps. What I found was that I can get my old school sound instantly. I don't like distortion so it doesn't matter much to me that there's a tube...

Bass Gear mag and their amp tests

I've enjoyed all their issues (on line version) and wrote to them to commend them on their test articles. As an electronics technician who also plays music, their test results and gut photos are not only entertaining and informative but tell the story in terms I can relate to and understand. I...

Can daytime heat damage amp electronics?

I see no problem with leaving the equipment in the car. I'm an electronics technician, not an engineer, but I do know amps (fix and modify them). The internal components will be fine.

    Sell me a Traynor

GearHeadBassMan: I'm a Traynor/Yorkville user and owner since the 60's. I tried the YBA200 head and really, really wanted to like it....but I was disappointed. BTW I am currently using a pair of TC112 cabs with a LittleMark II head. Back to the tube head...I played it into the 1510 cab (a...

Who's rocking two fifteens, no tweeters?

I used Traynor 2-15 cabs for years with no complaints. I am another guy that does not use tweeters in any combo or head/cab configuration. Just last year I downsized to a Peavey 115 to reduce the weight of stuff to haul. Further to that, this past month I downsized to a pair of Traynor TC112s...

    acoustic b200h or behringer bx3000t?

I feel I have to speak up on behalf of the Behringer amp. I own one and have used it for over 2 years now. I also fix and modify amps for musicians. I put the BX3000T on my 400 Watt load box and it will put out 350 Watts all day long without a hint of overheating. In fact, the load box is...

Micro Rigs You Gig... a Lack of the Groans

HooDoo: I was quite pleased with performance of the MB LMII amp and the pair of TC112 cabs. My tone is deep and clean and this combination delivered that with no problem at all. Like most MB LMII users, the master volume was about 9 o'clock in a medium sized room. I get the same tone as I...

    2x12 like 2x15?

I've just done that. In the past I've owned and used dual and single 15" cabs. This month I purchased a MB LMII and it's connected to a pair of 12" cabs rated 300 Watts each. Used it at a gig 2 weeks ago. Excellent performance, sounded good and weighs a whole lot less (25 lb per cab). I was...

Micro Rigs You Gig... a Lack of the Groans

The cabs are new TC112s from Traynor. 300 Watts/8 Ohms and weigh only 25 lbs each. I use the Markbass Bass Keeper velcro accessory which means I don't have to carry a stand any more. Sting bass with mint green 3 ply pickguard.

Possible problem with Little Mark II

    OOps! My mistake.

Possible problem with Little Mark II

That amp should not be hot as long as the fan is working properly.

Micro Rigs You Gig... a Lack of the Groans

I just played a gig last Sat night. The venue was on the 2nd floor - no elevator. I was quite happy to be carrying my Little Mark II and a pair of 25 lb Traynor TC112 bass cabs. The old 70 lb Peavey 115 would have been a major groan.
