I did the same on my 55-94. I got it cleaned-up but I wonder should I apply some wax after orange oil treatment? The waxes recommended by Lakland are not available here at Europe.

I had the same, and there wasn't too much room to lower the string action any more. I got a luthier to put a shim in the neck pocket, and now it's great again.

I wonder what got that green wire loose? Anyhow it was an easy fix, and now the bass sounds great again!

Wow, at least three of us with xx.94 and slotted truss nut. Should there be a sub-group, haha? Mine is '99 55-94, and looks exactly like Drkwdsman's. Anyways, I am interested to hear about any attempts to change to allen nut. I tried to change, but the neck is sitting too tight in her pocket...
