On another note- I follow Damien Erskine on FB and the other day he posted something regarding instrument insurance apart from your homeowners policy- I looked into it because I know my HOP won’t get the job done if something bad happened.... anyhoo- I was listing out what all I have after completing an online application and guessing X for everything (all basses, Guitars, amps, misc stuff)... turns out I’ve got that figure just in things with a Lakland logo!

I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing...

My homeowner's policy specifically denies payment if I ever make money using any of the instruments I got a policy with MusicPro. Easy to work with, good price but I hope I never have to use the insurance! Price was less than $20 more than the rider on my HOP!

I decided on a personal property article policy.... Because my HOP had a limit on instruments.

Also...the personal property article policy does not have a deductible which is nice...

Now I have to ask you enablers how the sound compares between the 55-60 Vintage J and the 55-60 Active J with LH-3 preamp? I guess I already know what the passive J bridge pickup sounds like from my 44-64 PJ.

Yabut phone pics irritate me - I hate the limitations even though the pics are better than my wife's iPhone 6.

Does anybody know where to get a nice case for a 4-94 preferably the proper match for the bass? I saw the one at Sweetwater, but it got bad reviews.

Are you looking for a soft case or a hard case? I personally love the Mono M80 or the Protec Contego for all my basses (except the Hobo)...they're super snug and they're durable. The hard shell cases that are like the old G&G cases look nice, but they're not very tough to be honest. I love the way my tweed case looks for my JO, but it's pretty easy to ding up.

Tweed(ish) cases do exist, but I couldn't tell you if they currently make them. I have one, this is someone else's case ---> SOLD - Lakland 55-02 fretless - Price drop 00
