I think it would be worth double checking that on the Greenboy forum. I know 1 18sound is sufficient for a 1212/6 (ditto for a 12/6+12sub) & the 1515/66 clearly has 2. I'm not sure, however, what the story is with mids for a 12+15" driver... Peter

A DIY fEARful 12/6 would be a surprisingly cool way to 'silence' the guitards, & not too far outside the $300 budget. Others have built those for a tad over $400, & drivers do come up for sale at good discounts from time to time. One 12/6 & 500+W @ 40lbs or less would hold its own with those...

If you're not hearing any change from your switch, I'd be checking that it's even wired in correctly! As another posted, some pics of your crossover & switch wiring would certainly help with remote diagnosis :-P PS. Nice job with your build! Peter

My understanding is that the 3012LFs exhibit a spike around 1.5k that is negated by the lowpass xover. So running it full-range could give dubious results. Peter

Just a thought - don't underestimate what an F110 can do (so I'm told)! Also, checkout the fEARful map at the bottom of any of the FF forum pages. You might find someone with a cab in your vicinity who'd be happy to give you a test run :-) Peter

Despite comments by others, I would have to say, "It depends". I wanted to "test the waters", so to speak, for very similar reasons to you - but my 'thing' was to try & get cello tones from my bass. So I began with a Sonuus B2M & a Roland XV-2020 half-rack synth. Affordable & it worked! And...

So, what's your budget, Mark? Also, you say you really want a single 15", but I expect that's really based on experiences with cabinets you know. For a really light rig with unexpectedly good LF response, it's surprising what a fEARful 12/6 can do. If you can consider building, you may get close...

To be fair, my understanding is that the True 3-way crossover for the fEARful cabs has smoothed out that harshness. I've no experience of either to speak of, but am planning such a build. Would also love to experience one of these Flex210 cabs some day. They sure look impressive! :-) Peter
