I can't tell you the technical details of how it works, but you plug it into where ever your direct out is, and then the sound guy puts the XLR into it. All I know is it eliminated the problem entirely when nothing else worked.

Bump for a great price on this bass. If I didn't have a 5501 I'd be on it in a second. This bass is great as is, but for this price you can afford to drop in an upgraded pre and new pups and you'll be out the cost of a brand new unmodded one and you'll have an absolutely killer bass.
