Best way to go about selling a 4x10 cab?

Craigslist, I have had good luck both buying and selling. Sure, you are going to get some insulting low-ball offers, but if you have the time to wait for the right offer, it will come. The quality gear on CL doesn't last long and you will get more than the vultures at GC will offer for a trade-in.

How to get a synth sound from individual effects?

Here's a demo I did on this very subject. I plan on replacing the phaser with a Xerograph Dlx and exp pedal for sweeps. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KbzVMAcgNn0

    Soft case for custom pedalboard?

I had the same problem finding a case for my homemade 25" x 11" x 5" pedalboard until I found the Moog Little Phatty softcase. The dimensions for the case are 30" X 16-1/2" X 9", so there is some extra room for cables and such. As an extra bonus, I can also fit my Aguilar TH500 head in the...

TAFM vs Iron Ether - Oxide

Out of the two pedals I'd go for the Oxide. I had a TAFM, it was a good pedal, but I flipped it when I got a Dwarfcraft Baby Thundaa. Both the TAFM and Baby Thundaa are Muff-ish, but the BT can get a more synthy quality to it. You may also want to look into the Zvex Mastotron, a lot of people...

Looking for a synth sound for my bass

They use a synth. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a synth. For the $$$ that you will lay out for the combination of pedals it will take you to replicate this sound, you could get a decent synth for under $1000.

    Best Delay for bass?

Here's another vote for the Earthquaker Devices Disaster Transport. I had the Jr, which was great, but upgraded to the 6 knob version when Hello Music had them for about the same price of a new Jr. It's a nice analog sounding pedal that can do more than repeats. You can get some nice ambient...

If you are looking for an analog octave pedal, you would be hard pressed to find a better option than the Foxrox Octron.

    youtube effects demo makers

As someone who has just posted their first pedal demo last week, I tried to adhere to a few of the points above: 1. No Talking. The demo was for a 3 knob chorus pedal (I have already posted the demo in this forum so I am not going to spam you guys. If you want to see it, just search my name...

    Best Chorus Pedal(s)?

Best chorus pedal? The Mr. Black Double Chorus. Hands down the best chorus I've heard in a long time. As a refugee of the 80's, the sound of cheesy chorus usually makes me vomit in my mouth a little. This pedal sends four delay signals to double up the modulation so that the effect is...

    Octave pedal recommendation?

If you are looking for an analog octave pedal like the Boss OC-2, the Foxrox Octron is the best option out there. You can dial in both octave up and octave down and it tracks really well for an analog octave pedal. One more tip, get a compressor to go along with the octave pedal, it makes a...

which big muff sounds best with a bass?

Currently, I use a Black Arts Toneworks Pharaoh. If you want dense, this pedal will do it. I play in a very loud, heavy rock band and have no problem being heard in the mix. Other muff variants you may want to look into: Wren & Cuff Pickle Pie B Earthbound Audio Supercollider Earthquaker...
