I use my just-past-the-tips nails to get any sound I want out of both guitar and bass. Whoever has nails and can't pluck without getting that click click sound doesn't know how to use their fingers.

"Normal" humans are supposed to be capable of hearing as low as 20Hz. It's difficult for me to differentiate notes at that low range, but it's completely possible that he can hear it just fine.

Set everything - bass and amp - flat. That'll give you an idea of what to tweak and where. Then, set your amp. Then use the bass controls to find your range once the amp is set. It's not very desirable to have to tweak your amp between songs IMO.

You have to purchase the jam packs. I also updated my previous reply - the simulators don't emulate popular brands/models, they are more like presets tailored for an instrument, i.e. bass, guitar, voice, etc. Not sure you'll need to purchase an extra jam pack. You'll probably do just fine...

You can get different "Jam Packs" that have more simulators and effects, etc. than what comes packaged with the software. I've used the packaged simulators and they are pretty versatile as far as custom tailoring their individual sounds. And they aren't really simulators insomuch as they are...

If it's when you move around it's most likely your cable or jacks. make sure your jacks are tight and clean and test the cable by whipping it lightly or wiggling it around a bit.
