This pic is from a post of mine from 2018; Lively discussion back then (and still today) regarding 500c vs Stage 800. As you can see, I too had opportunity to compare A/B. I do respect the option of others. May I share mine? After the initial misgivings about the 800 (too complex, to...

Agree with much of SchawnG's assessment of the 500c and Stage 800. I owned the 500c and soon upgraded to the Stage 800. Initially, I did question myself. The 500c was easy to setup. The 800c forced me to look/work harder, but soon I had my favorite settings with great results. ( Clear focus...

So, here's my "Bundle of Rumble". Everything has served a purpose and done well. Now that I have the Studio, am thinking the 40 may be released for someone else to enjoy, but that's not the reason for this post... I've recently been using the 15" Rumble Speaker as a center speaket for the...

Oh, Yeah! All our gigs Here in Central New York have been cancelled. Admit that I am much disappointed. I'm the oldest in the band; 67. So, my wife and I are taking the advice to limit/eliminate unnecessary social contact with others. For me that includes foregoing weekly basement band...

Another option... A 1/4 in mono jack switch will do the same thing as described above. When a plug is inserted, it interrupts (opens) normally closed contacts. Look for "1/4" panel mount jack switch" on Amazon. That way, you're only installing ONE new panel jack that opens the normal speaker...

Re: "Never feel good about that scenario": Gigged Saturday with the Stage 800. It performed as the engineers envisioned...sounded fantastic, tons of power and headroom. not 1 glitch (except my imperfect playing). Still, the occasional thought ...will it act up again? Been good for many...

This is a gremlin that I've seen, too. Extremely frustrating. Even with passive bass, so battery was not my issue. Short of sending it in for repair/replacement, here are a couple of things you can try.Have read that the effects jacks on the back could possibly develop a bad/dirty connection on...

"And, to my knowledge, the series cables can only give a 16 ohm load, using two 8 ohm cabs, to amp heads and not combos. Any series cable users to confirm this?" Am thinking that without internal modification of the combo, MAX impedance is always 8 ohms. And 8 ohms is seen when there is NO...

Wondering if anyone else has experienced issues like this: Same problem at 2 gigs this week using the 800 Stage plus 15" cab. Outside, and we were playing rather loud, my vol set to 11:00 o'clock. On both nights, into later part of performance, volume dropping, less deep bass tone, notes had a...

Checked my Stage 800, same issue. ALL effects are defeated when utilizing the XLR pre output, and that includes defeating tuner-engaged mute function. Both "XLT post" and "FX send" retain all user selectable effects, including the tuner-engaged mute function. But as you indicated, feeding...

You should not be experiencing hum as you described. Recommend first you consider the possibility of local RFI (radio frequency interference) or a power quality issue (your 120v source). To test, simply take your rig to a friends house and observe for any change. Also, if you think the Getty...

I had the 500c and now the stage 800. No, I do not think that's normal. The first thing to try is bringing it to a friend's house and try it there. You could be dealing with RFI (radio frequency interference) or have a power quality issue at your home. Eliminate the above first.
