If you were asking a
theoretical question, I would
speculate that the head might produce somewhere in the neighborhood of 200+/- watts into your 16 ohm speaker load (approx. half the power into an 8 ohm load), depending on various technicalities beyond my ken, not the least of which would be the safety of the amp and/or cab. But, again, I could only
speculate that it
might work OK, at least at low volumes. But, I really dunno. Sorry. I can understand your reluctance to just "try it and see", and I applaud you for it, chupy.
How 'bout it, all you really technical Rumblers? What do you think? What do you know? Anybody done this, connected an 16 ohm cab to a 8/4/2 ohm amp?
