    Geezer Butler signature pick ups

The cap installed on the GZR tone pot is 0.022, at least on mine. And my tone pot acts as you describe it. So changing it for .047 or 0.100 should have a noticeable effect. I noticed too that lowering a bit the volume with the volume pot gives a less middy tone to the GZR. The change is very...

Dimarzio DP126 vs Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder PJ vs EMG Geezer Butler

If you change the pots you can put only 500k ones. They work well with the dp126 if you want to keep some brightness in your tone.

Favorite rounds of dedicated flatwound users?

I can suggest the rotosound nickel rounds. Once they loose their zing I find them very fundamental sounding while keeping a good raw tone with nice mids. They sound a bit like d'addario Chromes but with a little bit less low end and more texture.

Photoshop people - please read because I don't want your help anymore.

As a professionnal illustrator using photoshop and other graphic softwares on a daily basis, I can tell that learning photoshop needs some time. It's a really powerful tool, but absolutely not intuitive. A class could be a good thing to take your first marks, then online tutorials. The use of...

    New: Zoom B3n Multi-Effects

It's the same colour as the b3n. They should be sold together :)

    New: Zoom B3n Multi-Effects

This is great that you saved everything and published it on your website. I still haven't bought the b3n. I hope I'll get one soon. It looks like a great unit from what I read on your this thread. Money is a bit short and my band is gone for a loooong break (not to say definitive break )... So...

    New: Zoom B3n Multi-Effects

That is a nice idea (using the cab sim only I mean). Didn't think about that while reading the manual. Ok, I really need to try it :)

Using the Zoom B3 as HPF, what would you recommend?

You can use the AcBsPre : the depht parameter is an hpf. At 10, there's no hpf engaged, and the more you lower its value, the more you're hpf value will ne be high. Be aware to set all the eq points at 0 to keep a flat signal if you want the hpf only. Regarding the value you have to use your...

    New: Zoom B3n Multi-Effects

The new drive engines seem promising !! But no 15" cab sim. I really like the AG15 on the B3 when playing with headphones.

    New: Zoom B3n Multi-Effects

I'm really curious to hear how this b3n will sound compared to the b3. More subtle sounding overdrives would be great. However having 7 effects in the same patch is a hudge step !

D'Addario nickel round compare to Rotosound 66 nickel

I used d'addario xl for many years before switching to rotosound nickel. I didn't notice a Real change in feel or tension. But tonewise I find the rotosound to be clearer in a mix : more definition and less high trebles. And even when old they still sound very good in the mix.

EMG Geezer, Dimarzio Model P, or Seymour Duncan SPB-2?

D Did you try to lower a bit the dimarzio ? I use one and had to put it 1 mm lower than more classic pickups and it doesn't sound harsh or thin with a pick. I get nice low mids pointing out. I never tried the spb2 so I don't know how it sounds.

    PJ Club

I wasn't really into tort too but the guy offered me to make some photoshop combinations with pictures of my bass and, when I saw this combination I found it the nicer and more natural. I thought 3 ply black/white/black would be nicer but it looked less gorgeous on the pictures. Anyway, I'm very...
