Man, I love that Jazz clip with flats and the neck pickup, is that a well known song or improvised? It sounds familiar.

I agree, of course I use them on my SX-P, but they do sound great.

The only flats I have used are Chromes on my SX P and on my Rogue Beatle Bass. I just got them on my P, I can't wait, in a few months they will sound even better. :D I do agree with a former poster though, on my 45-100 gauge the G string dosn't seem to sustain as well as the others.

Sorry offtopic but, I just moved to Arizona in November, and I have been wondering what those Damn birds were called. Everyone said they were "Blackbirds" but I never knew the name. They like a LOT like Crows. I was wondering why the Crows in Arizona acted like Seagulls in Michigan... :D Ok...

I have never heard of the first bass, is it Acoustic? I use to own a Rogue Beatle Bass, man I miss that thing. Threw some Chromes on that and it was great. Light as hell also, I just ordered an SX P, its going to feel heavy as hell after playing the VB. :D

I prefer Chamber music but, a great Violin Concerto is awesome. If its not Baroque don't fix it!! :D

Will a Fender P bass Pickguard work on the SX Bass? I want a black pickguard.. White on White dosnt like right. :D

G+D Bright new Flatwound sound?? Flatwounds arent suppose to be bright.. correct? I used DA Chromes on my Rogue Violin Bass, it gave a warm thumpy tone with lots of sustain. I just turned the treble off (back pickup) and plucked closer to the neck.

Wondering the same thing, they sound like roundwound to me, but so do the Fender flats he has on there.

oh, it sounds like he has the treble up and he is picking by the bridge. ok so I need to explain better, I like a Round Warm, Deep, Clean bass sound. I wish the music stores around here had J and P basses with Flats so I could compare.. :D I do dig Thin Lizzy though..
