I don't have a band or gig or anything, but if they don't openly advocate it they either haven't given it thought or don't want bands. I'd suggest just get a number and call them to find out.

I've always thought electronic music (which is in abundance now) would match hand in hand with funky basslines. Perhaps we'll see more of it over the next few years. A couple of good examples I can think of now are Around the World by Daft Punk and I Look to You by Miami Horror.

+1 to this. They're varied enough for me to love everything they do. I think LaBrie's voice is a nice change of pace from most metal I listen to (think BTBAM, Meshuggah) and another +1 to their musicianship. They're all brilliant, especially Rudess. He owns the keys. But as for the greatest...
