    EarthQuaker Devices Fuzz Pedals

Also interested; all of the EQD pedals look really cool.

    Digitech turbo flanger

I give my thoughts about it in this thread http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f36/flanger-question-847785/ Though, it really just sounds like a flanger with more turbo.

    On the Iron Ether wagon

I may also jump on the wagon. I have xerograph deluxe coming in the shipped out today. I can't wait to see what it is all about.

    Flanger question...

I had the Digitech Turbo Flange. It is pretty versatile; the seven modes cover a lot of different flanger sounds. It can do the jet sweep, pulsing flange and it even has a step mode (I don't think their are many/any flangers at its price point that can do this). To my ears however, the sounds...

    I wanna add another pedal

Phaser and chorus are both modulation, but phaser is still pretty different. There are not many wrong answers with a comp (lime aid is a comp right?), distortion and a chorus. If it was me, I would probably go with a delay as I love delay and chorus simultaneously. A good filter could add...

    John Paul Jones phaser

Didn't JPJ use a Fender Rhodes Piano on No Quarter? I am not sure about the modulation though.

Should I get the Boss BF-3 Flanger or the CEB-3 Bass Chorus?

I agree on the multi effect route as well. It is probably the best way to see what type of effects you like without dropping a lot of cash. You could also try some effects out at local music stores to see what you like. Boss stuff is is normally carried by most stores, so the BF-3 or CEB-3...

    PedalTrain Pro Powering Questions

Alright, so I am deciding to upgrade to a PT Pro from a homemade board for various reasons including organization, space, and weight. I have some questions on how to power these boards and what to use. The pedals I am using right now are -Digitech Timebender -Dunlop 105q -Boss PS-3 -Boss...

Turning knobs on Boss BF-2 causes noise...

I just got a Boss BF-2 and really like the sound. However, when it gets to the peak of the sweep there is a high hiss like sound. It isn't so bad that it is unusable but the other thing is the hiss/noise also happens when turning the manual and depth knob of the pedal. Turning the manual knob...

Any reverb/analog delay pedals with a high-pass filter like the SMM/H?

I am in the same boat as you are. I love reverb on bass, but it can make it too muddy. I have an Hardwire RV-7, and it is good, but it still only has a lowpass filter kind of tone knob. What I have been looking at right now is the Strymon Blue Sky Reverb. It has both high and low damp...

    Boss Repair Question

Yeah. It definitely seems that unless you do something drastic to the Boss pedals, they stick around for a while. A few months back I plugged my CE-5 in with the wrong adapter and it started smoking. Thought it was gone for sure, but it has been working fine ever since. It smelt like burnt...

    Boss Repair Question

So after doing some searching, I've come to the conclusion that digital boss pedals are a pain to get repaired. It seems that it normally costs more than the actual pedal is worth. I am thinking about pulling the trigger on a Boss PS-3. What I want to know is, has anyone had to get one...

    Question about defretting a bass

Thanks for all the feedback. Good to know that GC/Sam Ash do not do this type of thing. I think I'll just buy a fretless bass eventually. If it will really hurt the resale value of the lakland that much, then I would probably be losing money trying this it versus just getting a new bass.
